Introducing your 2025 Miss New Diana, TX agHERculture - Joscelyn Rice!
Joscelyn Rice, a sophomore at New Diana High School, is a fourth generation farmer and rancher proudly upholding that legacy through her work on her family’s Open Hands Ranch. She is preceded by a long line of men and women who took great care to cultivate their land to its fullest potential. Being the treasurer of her FFA chapter, Joscelyn’s passion and respect for the agricultural industry runs deep in her. She competes in several facets of the FFA, and through those events she strives to expand her knowledge of the agricultural industry, and grow in her abilities to advocate for the industry she hold so close to her. Joscelyn’s background in agriculture covers many facets, including public advocacy for Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) and cattle production; work in environmental and natural resources, agriculture mechanics, and equine management; raising quality show Brahman cattle and Southdown lambs; along with community service on a local and state level through donations to the Texas Panhandle wildfires and volunteering at local livestock shows. She is a firm believer that faith in the Lord is a key component to success in any situation, but agriculture especially. Joscelyn works by the Lord’s grace and her own grit in everything she does, and strives to use her work to praise Him.
