Bailey is the Daughter of Jeffrey and Laurie Douthitt. She attends Hooks High School in Hooks, TX. She has a deep appreciation for agriculture and the hard work, dedication, and passion that comes along with it.
Her interest in FFA started at the age of 8 when her older brother became part of the FFA program in school. Her older brother was her best friend so following in his footsteps and enjoying FFA activities was a must for her. She shortly after became part of the FFA chapter and joined the livestock show team where she started showing Angus for her family farm located in Tatum, TX, Circle S Farms. She has now been part of the FFA livestock show team for 8 years. She also participates in other FFA programs such as CDE’s and LDE’s, Chapter Officer, and is also in advanced floral design. Floral Design is designed to develop students' ability to identify and demonstrate the principles and techniques related to floral design as well as develop an understanding of the management of floral enterprises.
Bailey volunteers in the local special needs programs, she attends and assist with local livestock shows and FFA events, along with volunteering at her local school livestock show.
With her Miss agHERculture title, she hopes to inspire the next generation of female agricultural leaders and promote the importance of agriculture in our society. She feels as if female agriculturalist have a place in the industry and plans to continue to be an advocate for those females who share the same interest and goals.
