Meet Makenzi Willard, a proud upcoming senior at Buffalo High School and a passionate advocate for agriculture. As a third-generation Brahman and F1 cattle breeder, Makenzi’s roots run deep in the livestock industry. Her dedication to agriculture has inspired her to pursue a future as an agricultural educator, following in the footsteps of the advisors who have positively shaped her journey. Makenzi plans to attend Tarleton State University, where she will major in Agriculture Business. Her goal is to become an Ag Teacher and give back to the next generation—empowering students just as her mentors have empowered her.
Beyond the show ring, where she proudly exhibits Brahman and F1 cattle, Makenzi is committed to promoting the role of women in agriculture and raising awareness about the diversity of livestock breeds—not just cattle. She believes education is the key to understanding and appreciating the vital work of the agricultural community. In her spare time, you’ll find Makenzi enjoying a good book or exploring new places through travel. With a strong sense of purpose and a heart for teaching, Makenzi is ready to make a lasting impact on the world of agriculture.
