Introducing your 2026 Miss Plainview, TX agherculture - Scarlet Akins!

Scarlet Akins is a senior at Plainview High School, where she ranks in the top 10% of her class. She proudly serves as the captain of the PHS Cheerleading Team and is an active member of Plainview FFA. Through these organizations, Scarlet has developed strong leadership skills, a passion for serving others, and a deep appreciation for agriculture. She is also honored to hold the title of Miss Plainview.

Scarlet is the daughter of Colby Akins and Clay and Lindsey Igo, who have instilled in her the values of hard work, kindness, and perseverance. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, shopping, supporting her community, and participating in FFA events and volunteer opportunities.

Scarlet hopes to use her platform to spread awareness of youth organization such as FFA and agricultural education. She believes agriculture impacts everyone and wants to inspire others to learn more about the industry while encouraging young people to get involved in leadership and service. Scarlet is committed to representing her community with integrity, compassion, and pride while making a positive difference wherever she goes.
