Before she learned how to lead a chapter, she had to learn how to lead herself. Meet Lola Vivian Beckett, an Ennis, Texas girl who grew up wondering if the things that made her different were the very things that made her “too” different. She was scared of being judged, and often wondered if it would be easier to disappear into the background than risk being seen. But those things didn’t disappear. She grew into them. Today, Lola is known by her FFA chapter as “Lola Parton.” She is a little obsessed with pink… fiercely sentimental, and somehow became a girl who competes in Creed Speaking, Public Relations, Ag Business & Communications, Milk Quality, floral design, and rabbit showing with her rabbit, Barbie Princess! She serves as Vice President of her FFA chapter and Secretary of the 2026 Blackland District. And the funniest part? Lola didn’t even grow up in agriculture! She found FFA when she was still figuring out where she belonged, and agriculture gave her a place to become the person she was always capable of being.
Her mom, Katie, raised her and taught Lola what strength looks like! Her best friend Georgia taught her something Lola will carry forever, “sometimes the things other people think are weird about you are the exact things that make you amazing.” The right person doesn’t ask you to change those things, they love you for them. As Teen Miss Texas agHERculture contestant, Lola wants to be that person for someone else.
As Teen Miss Texas agHERculture contestant, Lola wants to be that person for someone else. She wants to find the girl sitting in the back of the room who thinks nobody notices her. The kid who feels too awkward, too different, too afraid, or simply too “weird” to belong. Because Lola knows that feeling. And she also knows something she didn’t know back then… The things that once made her feel different are the very things that make her unforgettable! She doesn’t want to use this crown to show young people how to become someone else. She wants to show them what can happen when they finally become themselves.
