Kathryn Montes De Oca grew up surrounded by her family’s feed mill and ranch in Okeechobee, Florida, where her grandfather instilled in her a lifelong passion for cattle. Today, she actively contributes to her family’s operations, working in the feed mill office and day-working on the ranch. Beyond her local involvement, Kathryn represents Florida nationally with the Guernsey breed, competes in statewide shows, and serves as the Florida Guernsey Princess. A dedicated leader, she serves on the Florida State 4-H Executive Board, leads as a Multi-Club President, and mentors younger exhibitors in fitting and grooming. She also competes in national dairy judging while balancing dual-enrollment studies. Kathryn’s goal is to become an Agricultural Attorney specializing in financial and environmental law, advocating for farmers and consumers. Her platform highlights the environmental and economic advances of agriculture, with a focus on inspiring youth and addressing the challenges facing farmers today.
