Hailing from the Rocky Mountain state of Colorado, your 2025 Miss Centennial State, Addison Wilke! Addison Wilke is 18 years old and attends Fruita Monument High School in Fruita, Colorado. Addison’s journey in agriculture began as a child growing up in New Zealand and Australia. Addison and their family moved back to America in 2020, where Addison sought new opportunities to get involved in agriculture, such as 4-H and FFA. Addison has been a four-year FFA officer, including serving as president, vice president, reporter, and a Greenhand executive committee member. Addison is also a two-year officer within their district chapter, serving as the 2024-2025 District 2 FFA president. She has won numerous state and district gold and silver medals in veterinary science, public speaking/interviewing, meat and livestock judging, and showing swine, including winning the 2025 Colorado State champion veterinarian science team and Colorado State veterinarian science individual champion. Addison will be competing at nationals in October. She is committed to giving back to their community, having been awarded the 2024 Herdsman of the Year award at the Mesa County Fair in Grand Junction, Colorado. Addison has also participated in events outside of Colorado, including the FFA National Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana, and the FFA Washington Leadership Conference in Washington, DC, where they were recognized for professionalism and manners. Additionally, Addison was nominated for and attended the Congress of Future Medical Leaders conference in Boston, Massachusetts, earning the Excellence Award. Addison will be graduating next month and plans to attend West Texas A&M University in the fall, majoring in animal science/pre-veterinarian medicine and minoring in agricultural business. Addison’s goal is to become a large animal veterinarian. In their free time, Addison enjoys spending time with family, paddleboarding, raising and competing with swine at fairs, and hunting. She believes that this title can provide scholarship opportunities and the chance to share their love and passion for the agriculture industry and veterinary science. Addison also believes they have more to learn and will continue to seek new opportunities to broaden her knowledge and love for the agriculture community.
