Lauren Nelson, 18, hails from Scandia, Minnesota, where she grew up immersed in the world of agriculture. From a young age, she showed dairy cattle, worked alongside her family on their farm, and contributed to the success of their pumpkin patch. Being actively involved in 4-H further fueled her passion for agriculture, inspiring her to pursue higher education in the field. This fall, Lauren will be attending the University of Wisconsin-River Falls to major in dairy science, with the ultimate goal of becoming a large animal veterinarian. Her deep-rooted love for animals and dedication to the agricultural community drive her to make a meaningful impact in the veterinary field.
