Jakayla Steinhorst was born into agriculture, growing up on her family’s dairy farm. Today, she works on a lavender farm as a sales associate, where she continues to deepen her connection to the agricultural industry. While agriculture has always been part of her life, Jakayla is eager to gain an even broader and more in-depth experience within the field.
Her passion for advocating in agriculture began when she served as the Junior Fairest of the Fair, a role that gave her countless opportunities to connect with people and share her love for the industry. That experience confirmed her desire to be a voice for agriculture and inspired her to seek out additional opportunities to connect people to the food-to-table movement.
Jakayla’s mission is to bridge the gap between producers and consumers, showing others the importance of agriculture in everyday life while embracing new ways to educate and inspire her community.
