Ava Bishel crowned Miss California agHERculture! Ava Grace Bishel is a senior at Fresno Christian High School, where she has proudly served as a two-sport varsity athlete throughout all four years of high school, holding the role of team captain for both teams. Her leadership and dedication on and off the court have earned her the Intangible Award for basketball, a recognition she holds in high regard.
Academically, Ava is a 100% member of the California Scholarship Federation and has further challenged herself by completing dual enrollment college courses during high school. These experiences have equipped her for the next steps in her education and personal growth.
She is the daughter of Kristen and Brandon Bishel and a proud fifth-generation farmer. Agriculture has been woven into Ava’s life from the very beginning. She has spent countless hours working alongside her father on the family farm, where she learned the value of hard work and responsibility. By the age of five, she was already operating heavy machinery, and her passion for farming has only grown stronger over the years.
In her free time, Ava enjoys water sports and being out in nature. Through her title, she hopes to inspire young girls everywhere to embrace both strength and femininity — to know that you can wear a dress and still work hard in the fields, that you can be graceful and gritty. Ava’s mission is to show that women are capable of doing it all, and that no one should ever stand in the way of their dreams.
Congratulations and welcome to the agHER Sisterhood Ava! If you would like to join her please check us out at agherculture.com
